Caribbean Premier League is professional cricket league of West Indies Cricket. The administration of this league comes under West Indian cricket board. This T20 league is held in the Caribbean every year. The first Caribbean Premier League was held in 2013. There are 6 total teams participate every year. Teams are divided into the group stage and next stage of this league is a knockout tournament. In the group stage, every team plays 10 matches with group team. After this teams are moved further into knockout tournament due to their high rating. The current champion of this league is Trinbago Knight Riders. Most successful teams of this event are Jamaica Tallawahs and Trinbago Knight Riders they have won 2 titles each of this league.

Caribbean Premier League 2016was the fourth season of this league. This is international T20 cricket league of West Indies. This league was started on 29 June and ended on 7 August 2016. In 2016 matches were played in seven countries. The countries are Guyana, Barbados, Jamaica, United States, and Trinidad and Tobago. The United States hosted this league for the first time. The final of this league was played at Warner Park. There were 34 matches were played and 6 teams participated. All teams played very well and worked hard. The only two reached in final is Guyana Amazon warrior and Jamaica Tallawahs. Jamaica Tallawahs won this match by 9 wickets.
